To all the werewolves, monsters and horror fans out there who like series like TRUE BLOOD, Netflix has an order for new one- ‘The Order’. And from the talks around the town, you’ll be seeing many familiar faces. The under laid battle between the dark magic and werewolves is sure to get you hyped.
Netflix has been stepping up production for supernatural drama and this new 10-episode season will definitely thrust your blood vessels to the limits. The young cast and supernatural storyline of The Order is a perfect blend two of Netflix’s most successful elements from the recent years, and with the frenzy it has created over its audiences it is likely to be as successful as its predecessors.
How’s The Story Set?
The story revolves around a college freshman Jack Morton, who uncovers darks secrets by joining a fabled secret society called The Order. The intriguing secret society is filled with sorcery and monsters who are in the midst of a subversive combat between dark magic and werewolves.
Cast
The Order will be Netflix’s next step into supernatural storytelling and is will feature a familiar face in the form of True Blood star Sam Trammell. He had starred in the True Blood as true blue shape-shifter Sam Merlotte for all seven seasons of the hit HBO series. His role in The Order is currently unknown though there are some winds whispering him to be the lead actor’s relative.
The new series is led by iZombie actor Jake Manley and Legends of Tomorrow actress Sarah Grey.
Actress Sarah Grey will play the role of Alyssa, a pretty and smart overachiever with a double major in political science who is also a member of the secret society The Order and as can be speculated is attracted to Jack.
Like some of his co-stars, The Order‘s lead actor Jake Manley is not unknown to supernatural TV shows. He plays Fisher Webb/Captain Seattle on TV series iZombie.
Production:
The 10 episode First season will be coming through Nomadic pictures, the production companies behind syfy shows “Van Helsing” and “Ghost Wars.”
The Order is portrayed as a magical and terrifying journey to reveal everyone’s true selves and the monsters that hide within.
Production and Writing:
The creators of the series are Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen and they will serve as writers and executive producers. Nomadic Productions’ Chad Oakes, Mike Frislev will also be the executive producer for the show along with David Von Ancken.
With the depiction of magic and werewolves in the present day, The Order is quite alike to True Blood which deals with the presence of vampires, and is played by star Sam Trammell.
