Netflix officially announced the renewal of the Delhi Crime for its second season. Richie Mehta also confirmed that the series would go on for its second series with Shefali Shah as DCP for the second season. There won’t be any changes in the main character of the series. The second season will follow different crime stories of a similar type of genre. Mehta announced the new director for the second season. Richie Mehta, who directed herself in the first season, will stay as co-director for the second season. Rajesh Mapuskar, the winner of the National Award for Marathi film ‘Ventilator,’ will now direct season 2. Rajesh Mapuskar worked as an assistant director for the movies like Rajkumar’ Munnabhai’ franchise films and the film’ 3 Idiots’.
In addition, the series was expected to return with its second season by the end of 2020. But due to the ongoing pandemic of the coronavirus, the productioon stopped.
